Aftercare
Be prepared for 1-2 weeks recovery time whilst the swelling settles and the small scabs fall away. You can plan your treatment according to the seasons when you can cover up with sunglasses or long-sleeves.

The device operates at a distance of approximately 1mm above the surface of the skin and creates a minuscule electrical arc at its tip. This arc is called the plasma arc. When the plasma arc touches the skin, it vaporises a micromillimeter-sized dot on the skin’s surface. This process is called sublimation. This enables the treatment imprint to be wider and shallower than traditional dermal only devices. This dot minimally tightens the skin in its vicinity. Several points applied together create a “reduction grid”. Through the application of grids in specific patterns, excess skin is tightened.

The Plasma Pen is a great treatment for the right person, but you must be prepared for 1-2 weeks recovery time whilst the swelling settles and the small scabs (in a pattern of dots) fall away. You can plan this tactically - consider having a treatment to your arms, legs or body during the cooler seasons when you can cover up more easily. Similarly, neck treatments are great in the autumn or winter when you can hide the treated areas with a scarf, and the eyelids are best treated in the summer when you can hide behind sunglasses.
